What is Zigbee?

Many smart home products use Wi-Fi and RF communication modes that make them more affordable than other smart home technologies, but they are not specifically IoT standards. In contrast, Zigbee is specifically designed as an ideal communication solution for low-power devices where low data rates are not required but the lowest possible time latency is important.
